Early varieties
In England, New Zealand, and Australia, sweet peas have always been sown both in autumn and in spring. If you'd like to try this too, it's advisable to start by testing early varieties that were originally developed for cultivation in the Southern Hemisphere. These require fewer hours of sunlight per day and thus bloom before many other varieties.
