Sweet peas are just the right amount of easy to grow with little helpers.

The bus seeds maintain the same high quality as all other seeds, they are just a little more mischievous.
When we count and pack our regular seed bags, it sometimes happens that some seeds escape or get mixed up. Since sweet pea seeds look the same, we can no longer be completely sure which variety they are. Instead of throwing them away, they get a new life as mischievous seeds!

So, the seeds are a colorful mix of different varieties – no one knows what colors will appear until they bloom. A perfect little adventure for curious little growers (and big ones too).

In the book A World of Sweet Peas there is a whole chapter on growing with children including a child-friendly guide. Very readable greetings Pom who is Flower Power's own mischievous seed.

A bag of bus seeds contains 15 seeds and costs a little less than our regular varieties – but the joy is at least as great!

Flowering time: June-Sept. When sown in spring, sweet peas bloom 90 days after sowing.
Sowing time: March-April
Height: Varies for different varieties but also depends on rain/watering, fertilization and weather. See above.
Sowing depth: In pot 1-2 cm.
Row spacing: 60-100 cm. You want to be able to walk between the rows to pick the flowers.
Plant distance: 15 - 20 cm.
Germination time: Approximately 10 days at room temperature 18 - 22 degrees.
Growing position: Sunny to shady, preferably open for good air exchange.
Year: One year

About our seeds

When you buy seeds from Flower Power you get seeds of the highest quality. The seeds are grown in greenhouses and harvested by hand in Essex, England and germination tested in England and Sweden. Our seeds have a germination rate of at least 92%.

Care and cultivation advice

When you get your seeds home, you always receive a folder where you can see pictures and read in peace and quiet.
The seeds should not be soaked. Always store the seeds in the freezer, where they retain their germination capacity for 50+ years. In other words, you do not need to sow the whole bag at once.

Packaging and delivery

All our seeds are counted and packed by hand in Brantevik in Österlen. All orders are packed in order of arrival and are usually shipped the same day at 2 pm. We use Postnord and your seeds will arrive in your mailbox .
Once we have packed your order, we will send you a delivery confirmation to the email address you used when placing your order.
We use as little packaging material as possible for the sake of the environment.

Of course, as a customer you should be satisfied when you shop at Flower Power. If you have any questions, just get in touch, we are here to help you from seed to bouquet. We test grow a large number of seeds every year to make sure that the seeds have at least 93% germination and that they are the right variety. Should you still not be satisfied with our seeds, you will receive new seeds or your money back.
