Cedric Morris

Cedric Morris (1989-1982) was a prominent painter and garden inspiration who is now perhaps best known for his spectacular irises that he grew in his garden "Benton End".
There is also a sweet pea that strongly resembles Lathyrus odoratus, which bears his name. Whether it was he himself who was in Sicily or whether he received seeds from the artist John Nash is not clear. It may also be identical to the variety 'Quito'. The variety received AGM in 2023.
